Smartly control various LED luminaires in the ceiling!

The ECO-DIM.13 inline dimmer is the ideal solution for smartly controlling various ceiling-mounted LED luminaires. This smart dimmer is available in two different versions, namely the ECO-DIM.13 Zigbee and the ECO-DIM.13 WiFi. In this blog, you can read all about these unique dimmers.

ECO-DIM.13 inline dimmers

The ECO-DIM.13 is the latest dimmer in the EcoDim range. This dimmer is ideal for dimming and switching on/off LED luminaires in the ceiling. You simply place this dimmer above the ceiling. This special dimmer is controlled via a smarthome app/system. Which system you can use depends on the protocol you choose. This is explained later in this blog. The ECO-DIM.13 inline dimmers are perfect for controlling, for example, dimmable LED panels, dimmable LED (recessed) spotlights or dimmable downlights.

Unique dimmer with powerful specifications

The ECO-DIM.13 controls a light group of 0-250W LED. The dimmer uses phase cut-off dimming technology, making it suitable for 90% of all LED light sources in the Netherlands and Belgium. Very handy with this dimmer are the MIN and MAX settings. These adjustments ensure that the optimal dimming range is realised and that the light burns stably in the highest and lowest light levels.

Furthermore, this dimmer has a soft start system. This system ensures that the light sources will quietly switch on at the last used dimming setting. No flash will occur when switching on. The inline dimmers are protected against overload and interference signals. The dimmers can be controlled with various smarthome systems depending on the protocol. Both inline dimmers and their protocols are discussed below.

ECO-DIM.13 Zigbee

The first inline dimmer works on the Zigbee protocol. The Zigbee protocol is very popular. With Zigbee, buying a hub is a requirement. If you use Zigbee's Touchlink connection, you do not need to buy a hub. In that case, you can link the dimmer directly to a wireless switch, for example. You control the ECO-DIM.13 Zigbee with a Zigbee smarthome system/app. This inline dimmer works with the following systems/apps:

ECO-DIM.13 WiFi

This inline dimmer works with the smarthome protocol WiFi. WiFi is a low-threshold smarthome protocol. In fact, you do not need a hub for WiFi. So you can already smartly control your dimmer without incurring extra costs. However, WiFi is more sensitive to interference, because many devices in the house are already connected to WiFi. You control the ECO-DIM.13 WiFi with a smarthome app. The following apps are suitable.
